Sunset Key / Key West, FL
This is a tough one… not sure we have the words for it… so lets start from the beginning….
Go to open table and make a reservation. Then head over to the dock (we parked in the Opal Key parking lot and highly recommend it). Once you are parked, simply head towards the water and you will be feet from Slip 29. Be sure to arrive about 10 minutes before your reservation. Your reservation time is not when you will be seated at the table but rather when you will get on the boat.
Boat? Yes- boat.
You will take a boat out to Sunset Key – about a 10-15 minute ride. And if you are fortunate, you will a seriously awesome sunset starting!
Once at the key you will disembark and make your way to the restaurant entrance (just follow everyone else with luggage). When the hosts tries to seat you – ask for a table outside or close to it. Well worth it!
Then – take your time. Enjoy the awesome wine list, the fantastic bread, and appetizer or two and dinner… well worth every penny and makes for a super romantic night. And then – back to the boat for the ride back… wow… relaxing and peaceful.
My advice: no kiddos. Make this special for yourself and your adult guest(s). Restaurant advice: resort attire.
