Tequesta, Florida
We arrived a little later than we liked. Got the RV quickly set up and headed out in search of dinner. Our first stop was a bust. A local place with lots of wine but a very small kitchen and a sold out event. Thirty minutes later (we perused the wine and spoke to the owner) we headed out again.
On the drive in I saw a sign for a new place (only open two weeks) called the Salty Zebra. We lowered our expectations and proceeded.
WOW! What a great surprise. The wine list was not what we had hoped for (we did enjoy a good Pino Grigio), but the food, the service, the prices – awesome.
We enjoyed Grilled Brie and Tuna Tartare to start with and had the Basil Maltagliati (past with rock shrimp) and the Lentil Loveletters (lentil stuffed ravioli with house made sausage) for dinner and finished with a home made Mini Key Lime Pie. Oh – the burger we saw served was HUGE! On top of that the service was great.
Everything we tried was top notch, but I gotta say the Key Lime pie was out of this world! A perfect balance of taste and texture. Seriously, go here just for that at the least.
