Grand Junction, CO
So this post is a little off the beaten path… its not a National Park, but rather a National Monument we stopped and checked out.
We had to drive from the Denver area thru Grand Junction and on to the Arches National Park. So why not stop and check this place out?
One word sums it all up – beautiful!
If you are in the area, make a plan to visit here. Then after a day or so of stomping around, take a side trip to Grand Junction and Palisades and check out at least these local wineries – Grande Rivers and Two Rivers Some of the wine is very good (we bought some to bring with us). And there are a bunch of other wineries if you have the time.
